Author Edward Palmore’s book Labyrinth was chosen for a movie adaptation project.

DreamBooks Media Professionals (www.dreambooksmediapro.com) has selected Labyrinth written by Edward Palmore for a movie adaptation project.

The author wrote Labyrinth when he was in administrative segregation at Coffee Correctional Facility, a private prison in southern Georgia.

Edward sat down in front of his bunk, a steel rack that would act as a makeshift desk, and wrote the manuscript in longhand while creating a chair out of a hastily assembled stack of books and yellow envelopes. A brief, informal conversation with another prisoner led to the creation of this book. He was sitting on the rack in an open dorm one Sunday, munching on a bag of popcorn. Prisoners were allowed to play cards, play chess, watch television, exercise, or sleep while the lights were turned off. It was the weekend, and therefore there were only two meals available. Unknowingly, this young man who was starving suggested a topic.

The author chatted with him while eating popcorn as he told that during his brief career, he had visited numerous prisons. Giving specifics of his journey became the central theme of the book.
