CD Bioparticles Launches Cleavable Linkers to Accelerate Customer Research

CD Bioparticles now introduces a series of cleavable linkers to accelerate researchers’ studies.

New York, USA – July 30, 2021 – CD Bioparticles, a leading manufacturer and supplier of various drug delivery products and services, now introduces a series of Cleavable Linkers to accelerate researchers’ studies, including PC Cleavable Linkers, Dde Cleavable Linkers, ß-Glucuronide Linkers, -S-S- Cleavable Linkers, Cleavable Peptide Linkers, and Diazo Biotin Cleavable Linkers.

CD Bioparticles has strong and broad expertise and over years of experience in the drug delivery field. The new series of cleavable linkers provide various choices for customers. For instance, the PC Biotin-PEG3-azide. It is PEG derivative containing a biotin group and an azide group. The azide group readily reacts with alkyne, DBCO, and BCN through Click Chemistry reactions to form a stable triazole linkage. The hydrophilic PEG spacer can increase aqueous solubility of the biotin conjugated molecules. It can also help minimize steric hindrance and provide extra flexibility with the binding to stravidin and avidin molecules.

One example of Cleavable Peptide Linkers is the Acid-propionylamino-Val-Cit-OH-OH, which is a cleavable ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC). The Val-Cit is specifically cleaved by cathepsin B. As this enzyme is only present in the lysosome, the ADC payload will be released only in the cell. The Boc group can be deprotected under acidic conditions to generate a free amine group.

As for Dde Cleavable Linkers, the example is Dde Biotin-PEG4-DBCO. It is useful for introducing a biotin moiety to alkyne-containing biomolecules using Click Chemistry. The hydrophilic spacer arm improves the solubility of the labeled molecules in aqueous media. Dde protecting group allows efficient release of captured biotinylated molecules from streptavidin/avidin under mild conditions with hydrazine.

“CD Bioparticles focuses on areas of drug delivery technologies, drug product development, and drug delivery formulation development services. These Cleavable Linkers will be accessible to our customers, helping them to get better experimental results. We’ll continue to expand our global drug delivery products and services to enable our customers to make a difference in their studies.” said Dr. Robin J. Watts, the scientific officer of R&D department of CD Bioparticles.

“We’re committed to offering more reliable and quality laboratory solutions and tools to our clients to enable them to meet their objectives. We are proud of our efforts to support laboratory researchers with a portfolio of Cleavable Linkers and services.” said Prof. Jeffrey A. Depaul, M.D., the chief scientific officer of R&D department of CD Bioparticles.
